ABOUT US

Built on a simple belief: home should never become the hard part.

Your home should continue to support you through every stage of life. Safe Haven combines healthcare insight with hands-on construction experience to make that possible.

Our Story

Seeing the Need. Building the Solution.

After more than 30 years in healthcare, including 16 years working in occupational therapy, I have seen firsthand how quickly a home can become a barrier when a person experiences a change in strength, mobility, or independence.

Too often, people are ready to return home after an illness, injury, or change in physical ability only to discover that the home they love is no longer accessible or safe enough for them to use with confidence.

Combined with more than 30 years of construction and remodeling experience, that occupational therapy perspective allows Safe Haven to do more than identify a problem. We can help determine what changes will make the home safer and more functional—and bring those solutions to life through thoughtful, quality craftsmanship.

How We Work

The principles behind every project

We see the whole person.

Every modification begins with understanding the person who lives in the home. We consider strength, mobility, balance, vision, reach, and daily routines—then design around how you actually live.

Safety and beauty belong together.

Accessibility should never make your home feel institutional. We thoughtfully integrate safety and accessibility features so they feel intentional, attractive, and complementary to your home’s character.

The Safe Haven Approach

Where Occupational Therapy Insight Meets Construction Experience

Successful aging-in-place modifications begin with understanding how you use your home every day. With 16 years of occupational therapy experience, we consider factors such as mobility, strength, balance, reach, vision, and daily routines when planning modifications.

More than 30 years of construction and remodeling experience means those recommendations can become practical, beautifully finished solutions—from planning through completion.

Let’s Create a Home That Works Better for You

Every home and every individual is different. We begin by listening to your concerns, understanding how you use your home, and identifying thoughtful modifications that can improve safety, accessibility, comfort, and independence.

Plan · Prioritize · Adapt

Modifications can evolve with you.

Some homes need one focused change. Others benefit from a phased plan that can be completed over time as needs or priorities change.

01

Understand

We begin with how you move through the home, what feels difficult, and what you want to keep doing independently.

02

Prioritize

Recommendations are organized around safety, everyday function, urgency, and budget.

03

Modify

Changes are designed to feel intentional, attractive, durable, and natural to the home.

Aging in Place Consultation

Let’s talk about how your home can better support you now and in the years ahead.

Home Safety & Accessibility Evaluation

Start with the whole home.
